DC Shorts starts tonight (although our film isn’t showing until Saturday), so we thought we would provide everyone with a little teaser of the film! Check out the first 40 seconds or so of Barberin’ below (sorry for the low quality)!

Barberin’ is also getting a little exposure in the press. The Washingtonian gives a shoutout to the film (but strangely only mentions Ben as the director) and the Washington City Paper‘s blog on the DC Shorts Film Festival just posted a video interview with Tessa, where she explains a little bit about the making of the film.

We can’t wait for our film to finally be projected on the big screen! And if you bought tickets for the festival, see you there!

  1. Tessa & Ben,

Words can’t express what a “feast for our souls” your film Barberin was….can’t wait to see what’s coming next from you both.

  2. How’s things going over there? Took a peak at Barberin – it left “taste for more” as we say in hebrew – best of luck with it. How’s things going with the “Kibbutz”? The Kibbutz birthday is coming up very soon – pity you couldn’t have been here. A whole show is going to be put on. You are often talked about – and will not be forgotten – love from us all

  3. Hi Kathy!

Thanks for the message. Things are good, just busy. Ben actually got a job working for AIPAC (a pro-Israel lobby). He’s working on mini-films for them. I’m freelance writing, and looking for a full-time reporting position. It’s nice being home, but we miss the kibbutz and all of you! Luckily, once we start editing, we’ll see tons of you!!
    – Tessa
