The Sons of Italy Foundation asked Eidolon to produce a video for their annual gala that demonstrated the impact of their philanthropy to Help Our Military Heroes, which donates wheelchair accessible minivans to wounded veterans. This year, HOMH was using the SOF contributions to give a van to Captain Gavin White, who suffered traumatic injuries after stepping on an IED while on patrol in Afghanistan. After months of surgery and rehabilitation, he moved to Virginia with his wife, expecting their first child. We knew that the anticipation of a growing family would be a big part of the story, especially given what an accessible minivan would allow Gavin to achieve. In addition to the van giveaway and first drive, we identified small opportunities to film at the home as he and his wife folded onesies and prepped the nursery. These moments helped to make the story universal, and ultimately encourage continued philanthropy to HOMH’s mission.
